Google Duo is a video and audio calling app made by Google, similar to Facebook's WhatsApp, Apple's Facebook, and Microsoft's Skype. It is free to use and works across both iOS and Android devices. It uses your number, reaching people in your phone's contacts list, and offers end-to-end encryption. Its Knock Knock feature will allow you to see live video of your caller before you answer. According to Google’s announcement last week, Google Duo will take one last step to become Google Meet by switching out the Duo icon for Meet’s icon in August. Users will soon receive an update and the app will switch to Google Meet automatically. All of Google Meet’s features will be brought to Duo and not only can users co-watch YouTube videos within Meet and others on a call, but also can pull up a Spotify playlist and let Premium Spotify users join a group session to create a new list of songs.
